“The harvest will be brought in at Lüdertalschule on July 14, 2022.the year of the potato is slowly coming to an end and now is the time to harvest the crop together. (...) Let's celebrate the potato once again and look forward to the summer vacations together!”

With these words, Eva Funk invited all pupils and teachers at Lüdertal School to a picnic in the school playground. She was supported by the artist duo g.a.d.o.

There were homemade “snack mobiles” with all kinds of potato delicacies, including fried potatoes, jacket potatoes, “krok dogs” - croquettes in a hot dog bun - and potato ice cream in a waffle, prepared by the 9H class. And there was more: artists Lena Skrabs and Paloma Sanchez-Perez (g.a.d.o.) handed out gnocchi and gherkins on skewers with a vendor's tray.

The program was bright and varied: the picnic guests were able to take photos of themselves as potato tubers on a large stand and find out their own potato personality type using a potato oracle. Balloon hats could be made from yellow balloons, a dance group from the school performed a dance and a video installation was shown in the flying artists' room, which was filmed together with the “Lüdertalsender” - the school's TV station. The event concluded with a laid-back live performance by the band “The SchnickSchnack”, which put everyone in a good mood.
